The Fuzzy Friends Inn Policies:

By boarding your pet at Fuzzy Friends Inn, you agree to the following policies:

All dogs and cats must have current vaccinations. An electronic copy of vaccination records needs to be received prior to stay. All pets must be free of fleas and ticks or they will be given a capstar. Owner is responsible for cost. It is recommended to bathe your dog before stay, if they need it.
Fuzzy friends Inn by Katja Killingsworth, thereafter referred to only as Katja Killingsworth, cannot guarantee that toys, blankets, or beds will be kept in the same condition as brought in. For safety reasons, tennis balls and raw hides are NOT allowed. Leashes, beds and anything else left may be damaged or lost.
All dogs must be on a leash when entering or leaving the premises. Cats must be in a travel crate or on leash.
I recommend that you bring in your food since changing a pet’s food can cause a severe upset stomach. If I provide food, the extra charge will be $1 for small dogs and cats, and $2 for dogs over 30lbs, per day, and they will receive a limited ingredient diet.
You understand that there are no concrete kennels here with 8 foot fences. You take responsibility for your pet possibly digging out or climbing over fences.
Each meal may be pre-portioned in individual sealed baggies, or I will accept containers of food with feeding instructions. A refrigerator is available for opened canned goods and medications. You may also bring treats to be given per your instruction.
I CANNOT BOARD ANY FEMALE DOG IN HEAT OR UNEUTERED MALE CAT. Since I may have both neutered and unneutered males, I cannot guarantee the safety of all boarders if I have a dog in heat and male cats may urinate against walls and furnishings.
Dog owner will decide NOT to allow community play time. This must be stated clearly. Owner understands the risks involved with community play for dogs. Although I will offer great care, the unpredictable personality of dogs can sometimes lead to injury. Dog owner agrees that any problem that develops with their dog will be treated as deemed best by Fuzzy Friends Inn and full financial responsibility for all expenses will be assumed by the dog owner.
Pet owner understands that Katja Killingsworth’s liability, of any circumstance related to the animal, will not exceed the current chattel value of a animal of the same breed as the one in our care.
Due to the communal nature of our playgroups, and for safety/liability concerns, Katja Killingsworth does not allow any aggressive dogs for community play.
Emergency Vet: It is in the best interest of any pet in an emergency situation to go to my vet, as I am familiar with them and their location and can get there quickly and know your pet receives great care. Owner will be contacted as soon as possible to speak to the vet. If my vet is closed, pet will be taken to the emergency animal clinic in Killeen. Owner agrees to reimburse Katja Killingsworth up to $500 for paid medical care PRIOR to picking up the pet.
Abandoned Pet Procedure Unless otherwise required by applicable law, if you fail to pick up your pet(s) by the designated time and have failed to make satisfactory alternative arrangements with Katja Killingsworth, I will continue to provide basic service to ensure the pet’s health and safety, and charges will continue to accrue. I will make best efforts to contact you using the information you provided, advising you that if your pet(s) is not picked up within a reasonable time period (14 days after notification to owner, as per State Law), your pet(s) will be deemed to be abandoned and that Katja Killingsworth will deliver the pet(s) to a third-party adoption partner or to Copperas Cove Animal Control and adoption cannot be guaranteed. You understand that you may lose ownership of your pet(s) under these circumstances. If you fail to pick up your pet(s) for any reason, you release Katja Killingsworth from all further liability and responsibility for your pet(s). You shall remain liable to Katja Killingsworth for all unpaid charges, including without limitation the court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees incurred in the collection of such charges.

***Representations and WAIVERS OF LIABILITY*

I have read and understood the following before dropping off my pet(s):

a. I agree that I am the owner (or designated agent of the owner) of the pet(s) and am fully authorized to enter this agreement.

b. I understand and agree that KATJA KILLINGSWORTH is relying on my representations of my pet’s health and behavior. I further understand and agree that KATJA KILLINGSWORTH will not be liable for any health problems that develop during my pets stay. I agree and understand that KATJA KILLINGSWORTH reserves the right to deny admittance to my dog(s) at any time for any reason.

c. I understand and agree that KATJA KILLINGSWORTH will not be liable for any injuries or illnesses that occur as a result of my pet’s attendance, provided that reasonable care and precautions were followed.

d. I understand that group exercise and group play are situations where dogs co-mingle in groups, and if I have given permission to KATJA KILLINGSWORTH to allow my dog(s) to participate in any group activity, I understand and acknowledge that there are risks inherent when dogs co-mingle, including, but not limited to, bites, scratches and sore muscles.

e. I understand that KATJA KILLINGSWORTH is not a veterinary establishment and does not practice veterinary medicine. I understand and agree that if my pet(s) become ill or injured, or if the state of the pets health requires medical attention, KATJA KILLINGSWORTH, in her sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer over the counter medicine or give other requisite attention to the pet. KATJA KILLINGSWORTH will make her best efforts to notify me in the event of illness or injury using the contact information I have provided to Fuzzy Friends Inn. I understand that I am responsible for providing updated contact information. I agree to assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred, and I release KATJA KILLINGSWORTH from any and all responsibility for, or claims, damages, debts, arising out of or related to such medical care, including, but not limited to, transportation to/from the veterinary clinic and choice of veterinarian and animal hospital. I understand that if $500 in expenses has been reached for life saving measures and additional life saving measures and neither I, nor my emergency contact can be reached by the veterinarian or Katja Killingsworth, the animal may be euthanized to avoid further suffering.

f. I certify, to the best of my knowledge, my pet (s) has not been exposed to any communicable diseases with the past 30 days. I also agree that I will maintain current vaccines for my dog/cat(s) and provide certification to that effect upon initial evaluation

g. I authorize KATJA KILLINGSWORTH to obtain medical and vaccination records for my dog(s) from the veterinarian listed by me, and I hereby authorize my veterinarian to provide these records to KATJA KILLINGSWORTH and the veterinarian of her choice..

h. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any and all acts or behavior of my dog(s) while in the care of KATJA KILLINGSWORTH. I release KATJA KILLINGSWORTH from any liability arising from my dog’s (dogs’) attendance at FUZZY FRIENDS INN and accept full responsibility for any and all costs for injury to staff or other animals or damage to facilities caused by my dog(s). I hereby release KATJA KILLINGSWORTH of any liability and I further agree to indemnify and save them harmless against any and all claims arising from my dog’s (dogs’) attendance at but not limited to all costs, damages attorney’s fees, expenses and liabilities in connection therewith.

i. I understand and agree that my dog(s) may be photographed, videotaped and/or recorded and that Fuzzy friends Inn retains all rights to use images.

j. I understand that this agreement covers the current relationship between KATJA KILLINGSWORTH and me. Each time I bring my pet(s) to Fuzzy Friends Inn, I am affirming the terms of this Agreement and the truthfulness and accuracy of all statements I make in this Agreement.

have read and understand this entire Agreement, I have had an opportunity to discuss it to my satisfaction with KATJA KILLINGSWORTH and I agree to its terms.
